Ivy House
The home and studio of Anna Pavlova, the legendary ballerina of the 20th Century.
It was in this room that she did class, rehearsed and taught with many of the stars of the day.
It was a great privilege to rekindle the tradition of classical ballet at Ivy house where we restored Anna Pavlova’s beautiful studio with a sprung floor, ceiling high mirrors, barres and a grand piano in the bay window. Having built up the ballet school at Ivy House, it was a sad day for all of us when we had to leave for the building’s re development. Many of the girls taking photos recording the fact that they had danced in the very place where Anna Pavlova lived and danced.

Owing to such demand, Gill has now opened a second studio down stairs where we have laid a new floor.
