The Royal Academy of Dance exams are recognised for their quality all over the world and we offer exams and class awards to motivate and reward students of all abilities and interests.
Class awards are a nice alternative to exams and are presented to the examiner with their teacher in the studio for support.
Over the course of time we find that older children and students are coming to us to study at a more serious level. The heart of our training is that our students develop a deep love of dance and are inspired toward excellence.
Whether it is the dedicated future professional dancer or a child who has no interest in exams and just loves movement, we provide a challenging and exciting environment for children of all ages and abilities to excel.
Every aspect of dance is developed in the school. Good posture, turn out, line, pointe work, musicality, expression, communication, group dance, choreography and now our new programme of contemporary dance.
Exams are way of providing opportunities to progress and achieve.
Alongside confidence, fitness and resilience.
This is opportunity to work towards exams gives the children a sense of achievement and the chance to strive towards something tangible which focuses their training and gives them a goal.
VOCATIONAL EXAM SUCCESS
We recently entered 10 candidates for their first vocational exam at Intermediate Foundation level: 100% Success Rate Plus Distinctions!
The Vocational exams are usually taken by students in full time ballet schools who want to enter the profession.
They are far more difficult to pass than the Graded exams as the criteria is much more demanding.
Many of these students started in my ballet school at the age of three and this is the culmination of their training to date.
Over the course of the year, staff and students worked with dedication and prolonged perseverance achieving the reward of….

Some of these dancers are now auditioning for full time ballet schools and we hope to see them well placed, like several of our other students who are currently attending:
THE ROYAL BALLET SCHOOL, TRING ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS, LONDON SCHOOL OF CONTEMPORARY DANCE, LONDON STUDIO CENTRE and THE YOUNG DANCERS ACADEMY.
